Who doesn't have it on their bucket list? Spotting the 'Big Five' in real life. Iconic, impressive and endangered.

But did you ever hear about the okapi, the tapir or the red panda? These animals and their habitat are also under severe pressure. In addition, they are facing another obstacle: they are less known among the general public. So it's time the imposing elephant and majestic lion share their spotlight with other vulnerable species. 

The Beyond the Big Five (BB5) foundation focuses on the less iconic, but evenly endangered and wonderful animal species on earth. Through education and financial support of international projects, we try to raise awareness about the existence and protection of these animals. 

Beyond the Big Five foundation was founded by Nick Oppenhuis and Cheyenne van Cornewal on 17-07-2020.
